Next Generation Midwives launching in Bangladesh

For a number of years now, Dalarna University has been running a master programme for midwives in Somalia. It is now launching in Bangladesh in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund, the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) and Dhaka Nursing College.

The collaboration aims to give Bangladeshi midwifery instructors further training in the field of Sexual, Reproductive Health and Rights in order to raise the quality of midwifery training at selected institutes in Bangladesh, with a long-term goal of improving the clinical care of women and children.

The master programme will be taught online directly from Dalarna University in Falun using a web-based learning platform. Both live and pre-recorded lectures will be given by way of web conferencing.
